Screw remover tools, also called screw extractors or “easy-outs,” are specialized bits that remove broken, stripped, or seized screws by drilling into them and then using reverse threads to grip and back them out counter-clockwise, commonly found in sets with a drill bit end and an extractor end for use with a power drill. Other types include spiral flutes, straight flutes, multi-spline sockets, or even specialized cutter/remover ends for stripped heads, working in reverse to grip and extract the fastener without damaging the surrounding material.
